Ingredients

300g yoghurt (0,2% fat)

350g flour (type 550)

2 tsp baking powder

1 Tbsp sesame oil

2 Tbsp fenugreek leaves

2 tsp salt

Method

  • Place all ingredients in a bowl and start mixing the dough together using a fork.

  • The dough might appear too try, that's the point when you pour everything on your clean kitchencounter and start to work it with your hands.

  • You will realize, that the dough now slowly starts to include all dry bits.

  • Keep kneeding until the dough doesn't break anymore and feels super smooth (~ 10 mins).

  • Let the dough sit for at least one hour in a bowl covered with cling film.

  • Split the dough in four equal pieces and roll the pitas out to a 25 cm circle. Don't add additional flour, the dough shouldn't stick to the kitchen counter.

  • Place a large pan on high heat and add 1 tsp of sesame oil.

  • Fry each pita individually from both sides until nicely brown.

  • Add 1 tsp sesame oil for each pita.
